Arthur Stack

Art is a former President and Board Member. He is a keen tennis and golf enthusiast and is committed to creating a club that members and guests can continue to enjoy. He will complete the second year of outgoing President, Brent Marcombe's two-year term.

Although an ardent Padel supporter, Arthur as a board member does not support the proposal to install 5 Padel courts to replace the current grass on courts 7 and 8.

Vice President

Tom Chapman

Tom is a Life Member of the club and a former club President. Tom works tirelessly around the club on maintenance and enjoys tennis on the grass courts.

Regarding the Padel Vote: Tom does not support entering into a business relationship with a Commercial concern and does not support replacing Lawn Courts with anything that destroys the surface and negatively impacts the appeal of true Lawn Tennis courts.

Alan Murnane

Alan has lived in Highett with his wife Alison for 28 years. He has 2 grown daughters.

Alan is a keen tennis player and has been a member of the BRSC for 18 years and the Board Treasurer for 6 years.

Alan loves the open space of the Club and the trees from the golf course to our east and the park to our west. Makes for a great natural environment for sport and community.

Alan's contribution to the Board draws upon his 30 years of experience in management within the health and community sector.

He is involved and contributes to the Club and Board as he believes in the need for community infrastructure that supports and creates community engagement, and the need for us all to be physically active on a regular basis.

Alan as a board member supported the investigation of Padel as an option for the club to adopt and supports a members vote on the issue.

Nathan Manning

Nathan has been a local in Bayside for the last 10 years and a BRSC member for the last 6 years.

He enjoys tennis, golf and lawn bowls.

Nathan has a background in project management. He brings to the board skills in project management, compliance and forward planning.

Nathan is an active member in sports and socially. He looks forward to meeting members on the green, courts or in the clubhouse.

Nathan as a board member supported the investigation of Padel as an option for the club to adopt and supports a members vote on the issue.

JOHN MCLOUGHLIN

John has been a Sandringham local for 15 years and a member at BRSC for 6 years. He was a member previously when his two sons had tennis lessons about 10 years ago.

John is an enthusiastic tennis player and golfer. 

As a board member John enjoys meeting new members and catching up with existing members as we strive to make BRSC the #1 Community club in Bayside.

John as a board member supported the investigation of Padel as an option for the club to adopt and supports a members vote on the issue.

Shadi Talab

Shadi has been a member for over 3 years and is a keen tennis player along with his children.

Shadi has recently joined the board to represent the Tennis Section as a Casual Appointment up to the AGM. 

Shadi expressed concerns about moving forward with the member vote to introduce Padel in place of courts 7 and 8, feeling that the due diligence was too incomplete for members to make a fully informed and unbiased decision.

BRSC is an ideal venue for many types of functions.
